Overview:
In One Day at a Time you will take the role of an active heroin addict. You live with your girlfriend Lydia who is also an addict. Along the way you will meet several other women and have the chance to romance, or in some cases corrupt them. There will be many important decisions to make on your journey towards recovery. How will you choose to embrace your new way of life? This is entirely up to you...
Although the game contains heavy subject matter there is plenty of humanity and humor as well. These are not street bum junkies. I wanted to shed light on what it's like to be addicted to drugs, and what it takes to maintain that or ultimately say enough is enough and choose to get clean. This game is very personal to me based on past experience. All of the characters are fictional, but the lifestyle is not. Since I am anonymous here I would like to take the time to say I've been sober for over 12 years, just so no one thinks I'm currently living this life, but I certainly did.
Note: The android port is not officially supported on itch.io, you will have to come to discord in order for us to troubleshoot any problems that may occur.

*IMPORTANT FOR ANDROID USERS: In order to be able to resume in Season 2. Launch Season 1 (CH11). When advised to make your end of season save. be sure sure to save it in ANY slot on Page 9. If you already have an end of Season save, simply load that, and save again on Page 9. You will need to have separate saves for the Brenda/Molly paths. Once done you may continue to Season 2 (currently CH12) by loading the save on Page 9. For those using the In-Game walkthrough. If you do not see a note at the very first set of choices, then go into preferences to re-enable the walkthrough.
This should help you, you have to make sure to save it in that specific slot. If you are still having problems, come see me on my discord server and ping me. Here is a link.

In order to us to communicate, I'm going to have to have a way to get you to the person who makes the android port to troubleshoot what's going on, we can't do it on here, because he doesn't have access to my account. It should have worked for you the way it was described. I can also see about what needs to be done in regards to refunding your purchase, if you're not willing to contact me on discord. Season one saves should not have disappeared just because you installed S2 Ch. 12. So we need to find out how to help you with that.

There's a guy who's going around spamming anyone who is using external links for their game. Which is what I and many other developers use on this site, as permitted. Because, our games are just too large to upload directly. They are the same links my patrons download the game from on Patreon. I'm not sure what this guy is trying to gain from spamming this on over 20 game pages. But, I'm not going to play around with him. So, I've deleted his message, and he won't be posting here again. Sorry to inconvenience those who were notified of his post. As I said it was pointless spam.
I started playing this game today and I haven't stopped. I'm 8 years sober and I love everything you have in here about the program and how you have nailed all the sayings and slogans. It's like a meeting in a game. Thank you for making such a compelling, sexy, heartfelt story.

love chapter 1-11 my big question is will i have to buy each chapter or is it gonna be pay once get all?
Season 3 will be $3 each time an update releases. But you''ll get the previous Chapters in season 2. For instance, when Ch. 13 releases, it will include Ch. 12 and Ch. 13 and then when Ch. 14 releases it will include 12, 13 and 14.
It's only fair to my supporters on patreon who pay $3 minimum. Plus, as much as I love to develop it, the game is not free to make. So you'll have to decide if it's worth it to you or not, I hope it is. Cheers!

I normally don't write comments but this story is so good and doesn't have the attention it deserves. Hope it helps to get more people to play this great game.
English is not my first language, hope my comment is "readable".
This is one of my favorite VNs. The story is very interesting and there's already so much content. Must be much more then 10hours (never counted). At start I feared it would be maybe to dark, because it's a heavy topic but it never put me in a bad mood.
Especially the girls are great, all with different personalities and problems but nevertheless lovable. While Audrey is my favorite I really like the interactions between Lydia and the MC. They are very refreshing and always so much fun to read. Never used heavy drugs by myself but as a smoker at least I can connect to the topic addiction and how hard it is to stop bad habits if your subconsciousness isn't ready for it.
Summary: great story, great charterers, good graphics, sound and animations :-)
@Dev: Keep up the good work and because of your personal connection to the story, there's no fear you will abandon the game. Can't wait for the next chapter to find out about Kayla and her 2nd job!

I'm struggling with this VN. This is not in any way a criticism and reflects entirely on my own history. I worked with street drug users and it has left me with a LOT of memories, preconceptions and biases which this excellently put together and presented story is challenging. I would highly reccomend it.
I've heard similar things from other people. Glad you are enjoying it. I try as hard as I can to balance the light with the dark, and to fill the game with love and hope. The second part of the game is largely about recovery and redemption.
Im finding that I am cringe reading, rather than binge reading. I guess what I mean is that I am so acutely aware of the razors edge that these characters are walking, how sudden and existential the risks they face, that I am bringing all the horror stories of my professional life with me as baggage. Nevertheless, I applaud you for your work. Bravo :)
